Lady Elizabeth Seymour.Daughter of Algernon Seymour, Earl of Hertford and his wife, Frances Seymour. Married Sir Hugh Smithson on 16 July 1740. Inherited her father’s barony in 1750, became Duchess of Northumberland through her husband in 1766, and served as a lady of the bedchamber for Queen Charlotte until 1770.
