illustration caption as Don Juan, holds the woman’s arm and pulls her in toward his
body. He wears an unbuttoned shirt and a long
overcoat. The woman wears a full, off-the-shoulder gown and a translucent veil. Her
shoulder and back are exposed. The figures gaze
into each other’s eyes. There is an urn on the ground, a table with decorations in
the background, and a lamp hanging from the
ceiling. The couple appears to occupy a small cave. There is a circular entrance to
the left. Beyond the cave’s entrance, the sun is
