Imogen

Figure descriptions
A woman, identified in the poem text as Imogen, wears a nightdress and lies sleeping in a canopy bed. She holds onto the corner of an open book that lies next to her body. The table next to her holds a mirror, a vase with flowers, and other objects. Large, ornately decorated curtains are pulled back around the bed. A man stands at the foot of the bed and steals the bracelet from Imogen’s wrist. Leaves can be seen through a large, latticed widow behind the man. The illustration is dark, but the women and the bed appear to be illuminated. Full-page illustration.
