Figure descriptions
A graveyard scene is depicted at night framed by dark trees. Two tombstones dominate
the foreground: one lies horizontal on a
raised platform, the second is vertical and features a skull and cross bones. The
latter tombstone stands in front of a stone wall.
There is a church in the background surrounded by trees, and several tombstones decorate
the middle ground. Deciduous trees stand at
either side of the scene with their canopy framing the top edge of the illustration.
The full moon is low in the sky and visible
