Figure descriptions
Two small children play together in a room. One girl sits in a chair with her front
body against the back, and reaches over
the top of the chair with both arms. The boy stands behind the back of the chair and
reaches up to grab both of her hands. They both
look through the chair into each others’ eyes. The boy holds a toy drum at his waist,
but has dropped the drumstick on the ground.
The ground around the two children is littered with toys including playing cards,
a doll house, a book, and a jack-in-a-box. A small
dog sits among the mess. There is a table in the background on which stands a toy
elephant. Full-page illustration contained within
a single-ruled border.
