Song.

Who can Holmfirth people see,1
Boldly rearing Freedom’s Tree ;2
A people struggling to be free,3
And not assist their cause.4
Now they have their standard shewn,5
Let us make their cause our own ;6
To all the poor it shall be known,7
We strive for Equal Laws.8
Tyrants long have ruled the poor,9
Measur’d out their lumping score,10
And pauperised all the poor,11
To trample freedom down.12
Tyrants now their armies send,13
Meet and swear they will defend14
And help each other to the end,15
That we their Slaves may be.16
Now their race is nearly run,17
Let us not the contest shun,18
But put a stop to every one,19
That tramples on the Poor.20
“ Patriots who to fame aspire,21
“ Freemen who your rights desire,22
“ Animate your breasts with fire,—23
“ For Death or Liberty.”24
