’Tis pretty, but I doubt him.2
Dismiss that rowing boy, alas!3
Time pushes on without him.4
Careless alike of oar or skuller,5
He guides with fatal hand 6
A bark, which though the voyage be duller,7
Must reach the destined strand.8
