Figure descriptions
A woman kneels on the ground and holds flowers in her hand. She holds one flower out
to a man who stands behind her. He stands
with his arms resting on a windowsill and looks down at the flower. The window is
opened, revealing trees; some branches extend
through the window and into the room. A sheathed sword and a vase with flowers are
on the ground next to the figures. The poem text
identifies the woman and the man as figures from the East. Full-page vignette.
