Figure descriptions
A knight (Tannhäuser) stands with his arms crossed in front of him. He is surrounded
by nymphs who look like adult women. All
of the nymphs have long, flowing hair. Some nymphs are nude, while others have cloths
draped around their bodies. The knight wears a
helmet and has a sword sheathed on his hips. The figures appear to be standing in
the entrance of a mountainous cave. 2/3-page
illustration contained within a single-ruled border.
