A crowned man, identified in the poem text as King Warwolf, lies dead in a boat. His hands wrap around a sword which rests on his chest. The boat is on fire and there are large flames surrounding the king’s body. Other weapons, including spears, lie in the bed of the boat. A flag flies on the right side of the boat. 2/3-page illustration contained within a thick single-ruled border.
