A Hindoo Legend

Figure descriptions
A woman and a boy gather in front of a temple. The poem text identifies the figures as Hindus. The boy is Krishna, a Hindu deity, and the woman is his mother. The boy sits cross-legged on the ground and holds a large bird close to his body. A lizard crawls on the ground in front of him. The boy’s mother stands in front of him and angrily points her finger at him. They both wear long robes and head scarves. Behind the temple, there are large mountains and palm trees. 3/4-page illustration contained within a single-ruled border.
