Children’s writer and education campaigner. Suffered visual impairment in her infancy that left her blind as an adult. Educated at the Perkins Institution for the Blind and taught there from 1880 to 1882. Editor of The Kindergarten Review along with her sister Laura E. Poulsson. Published works of children’s literature include Finger Plays for Nursery and Kindergarten (1893) and The Runaway Donkey and Other Rhymes (1905). Biographical information: Mary C.
