Poet, bookbinder, teacher. Unmarried. Daughter of Walter Treverbian Prideaux, administrator of Goldsmith’s Hall, poet, and lawyer (the Chambers’s Journal ledger entries for her poems, published on 19 December 1874 and 21 August 1875, gives her address as Goldsmiths’ Hall [NLS Dep 341/368]). In 1884 trained as a bookbinder with Joseph Zaensdorf in London, and then with Leon Gruel in Paris. Established a binding studio in 1884, and taught at Cheltenham Ladies’ College in 1908.
