Poet. Pseudonym: Bee. Author identified in Chambers’s Journal ledger entry for My Wife, published on 23 November 1878, with the name Miss Reade and no address given (NLS Dep 341/371). The ledger also attributes two other poems in Chambers’s Journal with the same pseudonym (published 30 November 1878 and 28 June 1879) to “Miss Dill, of Dollar,” and the relationship between Miss Reade and Miss Dill is unclear. Possibly the same person as F. E. Reade, who published a poem in Chambers’s Journal on 25 October 1875. (AC)
