Founder and editor of West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser. Married Julia Ann Moyle on 8 May 1812. Moved to Paris in 1814. Editor of Galignani’s Messenger (1815-1818). Correspondent in Paris for the Examiner. Travelled around France (1818-1819). Editor of the New Monthly Magazine (1821-1830) and The Metropolitan (1831-1833), Bath Guardian (1834-1835), and the Staffordshire Examiner (1836-1840).
