in the west. Contributed to Harper’s Monthly, The Century Illustrated, Collier’s, Outing, Boys Life, and Cosmopolitan. Author of the novels Pony Tracks (1895) and Men with the Bark On (1900). Served as a war correspondent in Cuba during the Spanish-American war (1898).
