Bee.Born in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Employed in the textile industry and travelled to the Netherlands and Germany for business. Married Mary Clarke on 5 May 1773. Received an inheritance upon the death of his parents and focused on his literary interests, before switching careers again to become a landscape gardener.
