M. E.Daughter of the wood carver William Gibbs Rogers (1792-1875), who was sculptor in wood to Queen Victoria. Contributor to periodicals such as Art Journal and Sharpe’s. Author of the poetry volume My Vis-à-Vis; or, Harry’s Account of His Courtship, and Other Poems (1865), and a travelogue Domestic Life in Palestine (1862), written while visiting her brother, Edward Thomas Rogers, in 1855 to 1862, while he was vice-consul in Haifa.
