Edwin Heron.Son of George Vining Rogers and Mary Anne Blyth. Born in West Meon, Hampshire. Educated at Southampton, King’s College, and Magdalen Hall, Oxford. Worked as a professor of economic science and statistics at King’s College, and later as a professor of political economy at Oxford, where he established a reputation for radical politics. Married Anna Peskett on 19 December 1850. Publications include a large amount of political tracts and historical writings, the largest being seven volumes of A History of Agriculture and Prices in England from the Year After the Oxford Parliament (1259), to the Commencement of the Continental War (1793) (1866-1902).
