Poet. Alternative signature: G. Roxby. Born c. 1849. Daughter of Sir Joseph Needham. On 17 June 1879 married Rev. Wilfred Roxby (c.1839-1905), Rector of Thornfield, Dorset. Chambers’s Journal ledger entry for Roxby’s Song, published on 13 January 1894, lists the poet as Mrs G. Roxby, of Thornfield Rectory, Sherborne, Dorset (NLS Dep 341/371).
