Poet. Born in Mayfair, London. Daughter of Reginald Windsor, seventh Earl De La Warr, and Lady Constance Mary Elizabeth Baillie-Cochrane. Lived in Edinburgh as an adult, and Cheltenham from 1936 until her death. Wrote prolifically and served as president for several literary groups. Involved in peace movements during both world wars. Author of several volumes of poetry including Poems (1901), A Hymn to Dionysus, and Other Poems (1905), and Bertrud, and Other Dramatic Poems (1911). Also author of fairy tales and children's books such as Fairy Tales for Old and Young (1909), written in collaboration with Ronald Campbell Macfie. Biographical information: Orlando. (BGL)
