I. S.Daughter of Thomas Southall and cousin of Joseph Henry Shorthouse. Sister of Margaret Evans, with whom she published the volumes Dies Dominica: Being Hymns and Metrical Meditations for Each Sunday in the Natural Year (1897, not jointly authored) and Songs of Siluria: to which is added Fluvius Lacrymarum (1890, unclear whether jointly authored). Also author of Rachel, and Other Poems (1887) and Memorials of the Pritchards of Almeley and their Descendants (second edition, 1901).
