Poet and school teacher. Author of Pontia: A Tale, and Other Poems (1837). Preface to this volume is dated Anstruther Wester, 27th October 1837 (a small coastal town in Fife, Scotland) and dedicated “To Mrs General Durham of Largo,” suggesting that Taylor is a Scottish poet.
