Spring(published on 1 June 1861), which lists the author as Miss Agnes Waldie, Linlithgow (NLS 341/310). The 1861 Scottish census has an Agnes Waldie living in the High Street, Linlithgow, with her family (mother Agnes F. Waldie), and working as an assistant.
