Thomas Ingoldsby.Born in Canterbury. Educated at Brasenose College, Oxford. Ordained in 1813. Married Caroline Smart on 30 September 1814. Editor of the London Chronicle. Contributed to John Bull, Globe and Traveller, Literary Gazette, Bentley’s Miscellany, and New Monthly Magazine. Founding member of the Garrick Club (1832).
