M. Hedderwick Browne.Born in Ireland. Daughter of the writer John Hedderwick, from Glasgow, and the niece of editor and publisher James Hedderwick. Spent her childhood mostly in Glasgow. Married in 1879 and moved to London. Contributed to London Society, Atalanta, Chambers’s Journal, and The Girl’s Own Paper. Her songs were often set to music.
