Illustrator, watercolourist, and playwright. Born in Abingdon. Son of Gabriel Davis, a merchant, and Marianne. Educated at Abingdon School. Married Edith Webster. Influenced by the Arts and Crafts Movement and the Pre-Raphaelites, also widely known as the last of the Pre-Raphaelites. Shifted focus to stained glass and gained acclaim for his work at Dunblane Abbey, Westminster Abbey, and Gloucester Cathedral.
