Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve (1914-1919). Author of fiction titles A Serious Comedy (1896), The Faithful City: A Romance (1897), and The Optimist: A Novel (1898), as well as a volume of poetry, In College Groves, and other Oxford verses (1894).
