one hand. In their other hand, they hold up
the reins to the cart. A dog and a cat are attached to the reins. The cart contains
objects which include a violin, a doll, a flag,
a toy, a drum, a rifle, and a sword. The child wears a hat and a scarf. The illustration
title (which is also the poem title) is
centered above the illustrated scene and is curved in a slight arch. The illustrated
caption appears below the illustrated scene.
