Figure descriptions

and extends one arm toward the window.
The other woman kneels on the ground beside the first woman, holding her waist and
placing her hand on her thigh. The seated woman
is dressed in a silky gown with voluminous sleeves and she wears pearls on her neck
and in her hair. The woman kneeling on the
ground wears a plain dress. An animal, which appears to be a dog, hangs out of the
window sill and looks toward the women. Sheer and
voluminous curtains both border the window. There is an open book and a jewellery
box on an adjacent table. A potted plant stands on
an ornate stand, and a framed painting hangs on the wall. A large feathered hat lies
