Figure descriptions
A knight mounts a horse. He places his foot in a stirrup and holds onto the reigns.
He leans back and wraps his right arm
around a woman, who places both of her hands on his shoulder. Their faces are close
together and they look into each other’s eyes.
The man and the horse are both fully armoured, and both have a large feather emerging
from their helmets. The knight’s helmet is
also adorned with fur. The knight carries a sheathed sword over his hip. The woman
wears an armour-like hat that forms a crown on
the back of her head. Castle walls fill most of the background. Full-page illustration.
