Worked as a district visitor after her family fell into financial difficulty. Published her first poems in the Berkshire Chronicle in 1826. Knew Letitia Elizabeth Landon and Mary Russell Mitford. Married James Gray in August 1842 and afterwards moved with him to Cork. Received financial help from the Royal Literary Fund following her marriage. Biographical information: Orlando. (SP, AC)
