Figure descriptions
An elderly woman (the Lady of Lorloches) stands on a castle balcony and looks down
upon a town. She is depicted in profile
view facing the left side of the illustration. The Lady wears a floor-length dress
and a shawl, which she wears over her head in a
veil. She rests both her hands upon a cane. Below her, building roofs, the top of
a clock tower, and parts of a river are visible.
There are land masses extending from the river on the bank opposite the town. Billowing
clouds line the sky. 3/4-page illustration
contained within a single-ruled border.
