Figure descriptions
Norse men in armour carry their princess’s blanketed corpse on a stretcher as part
of a funeral procession. Most of the men
bow their heads as they walk forward; however, one bearded man raises his head to
the sky as he sings and strums on the harp. The
man at the center of the frame adjacent to the princess’s body wears a winged crown
and carries a large axe at his side. The men at
the front of the procession wear winged helmets and hold tall spears. There is a body
of water in the background. Full-page
