The Angel and The Infant. (From the French of Jean Reboullé, of Nismes)

Figure descriptions
An angel flies at the center of the illustration while holding a nude baby. Three cherubs poke their heads out of a cloud by the angel’s feet. They look up at the angel, and she looks down at them while raising one arm in the air. Three additional angels and two additional cherubs gather on clouds in the distance. At the bottom of the illustration, a hooded figure lifts a swaddled baby from the ground. Enlarged plants, flowers, and a butterfly occupy the left side of the illustration. The sun’s rays shine down upon the figures from the top-right corner. 3/4-page illustration extends beside and above the poem text. The poem text is let in to a blank rectangular space in the bottom-right corner of the page.
