Figure descriptions
An old man, identified in the poem text as the Bishop of Llandoff, stands at the center of a group of men. The bishop wears a crown, carries a crosier staff, and wraps his cape around his body. Most of the surrounding men are barefoot. They carry swords, spears, and axes, and raise their fists in the air. The man to the bishop’s left places his hand on the bishop’s shoulder. In the background, figures hold banners in the air. 2/3-page illustration contained within a single-ruled border.
