Figure descriptions
A newly married couple stands together behind one long side of a dining table. The
bride holds the groom’s arm tightly. A
second veiled woman sits on the opposite side of the table. She lifts a chalice of
wine while looking at the couple. Several men and
women surround the three central figures. All the figures in the room look toward
the single woman except for the groom, who furrows
his brow and looks toward the floor. Portraits in ornate frames decorate the walls.
There are platters of food and chalices on the
dining table. 3/4-page illustration contained within a single-ruled border.
