standing man with an open palm, suggesting that they are mid-conversation. Both men
hold shepherd’s crooks. The standing man also
holds a pan flute. A second musical instrument (an aulos) lies on the ground next
to his foot. The men both have beards. The sitting
man wears a head scarf and a fur draped over his upper body. The standing man wears
a gathered hat; he is shirtless, but he has
cloths and fur draped over his lower body. There are goats and trees on a hill in
the background. In the distance, there is a
