Digital Victorian Periodical Poetry

Braedon George Lowey (he/him) is a Master of Arts (English) student at the University of Victoria. He started with DVPP in September 2023 during his bachelor’s program, in which he wrote his honours essay on queer poetry in the DVPP corpus. He also won a Jamie Cassels Undergraduate Research Award to research LGBTQ poets of the Victorian era, culminating in a queer poetry anthology on DVPP’s front page. His work with DVPP has focused mostly on person research, consisting of over 200 poet attributions on poem records and over 600 person records created or edited. His editorial notes are signed BGL.
