Ranken, 20 St. Georges Place, Knightsbridge, London (NLS 341/310). According to the City and Council Directory, this was the residence of William Bayne Ranken. Born in Tavistock Square, London. Married Henrietta Bloxsome in 1866. Edited Canada and the Crimea, or, Sketches of a Soldier's Life (1863), based on the journals and letters of his father, Major George Ranken, R. E.
