Published by Cassell and Co., Woman’s World (1887-1890) was an illustrated monthly aimed at middle and upper-class women, and with feminist orientated content covering women’s education, employment, as well as fashion. Woman’s World was edited by Oscar Wilde, who relaunched its predecessor The Lady’s World, although he resigned in October 1889. Special Collections at the University of Victoria has some separate monthly parts (November 1887 - October 1889, although missing January 1888, November 1888, January 1889), as well as collated annual volumes, and DVPP’s indexing is based on the monthly issues where available.
