Poet. Pseudonym: K., X., C. E. Surgeon in the Royal Navy. Served as the Assistant surgeon and statuary on the Assistance, a ship that was sent to search for the Franklin Expedition (1850-1851). Received an Arctic Medal for his services. Left the navy in 1852 and opened a private surgical practice in Guilford, Surrey. Author of Warm Hearts in Cold Regions: A Tale of Arctic Life (1864).
