S. K. Phillips.Daughter of Rev. George K. Holdsworth. Born in Aldborough, North Yorkshire, frequently visited Whitby in the summers, and lived for many years in Green Royd, Ripon. Married artist Henry Wyndham Phillips in 1856. Honorary Secretary of the Ripon Home for Girls. Author of Verses and Ballads (1865), Ballads and Songs of Yorkshire (1870), On the Seaboard and Other Poems (1878, 1879), Told in a Coble and Other Poems (1884), and The Last Poems of Susan K.
