Figure descriptions
A man leans against a table and looks at an object which he holds in his hand. He
wears a long dark jacket, light-coloured
pants and a button up shirt, tall boots, a steinkirk cravat, and voluminous shirt
cuffs. His long hair is tied at the nape of his
neck, and his hat is placed on the table on which he leans. There is an open book
on the ledge next to his right hip. Light shines
in through a lattice window and illuminates the pages. Antlers and hunting gear (including
a sword and two horns) hang on the
panelled wall behind him. There is a door in the background and the floor is composed
of stone tiles. 3/4-page illustration
contained within a single-ruled border.
