Charles Turner.Born in Somersby, Lincolnshire. Brother of Alfred, Lord Tennyson. Changed his name to Tennyson Turner in 1835 after receiving a legacy from his great uncle. Educated at Trinity College, Cambridge. Ordained in 1833. Married Louisa Sellwood on 24 May 1836. Held the position of vicar of Grasby from 1836 until his death. Co-authored Poems by Two Brothers (1827) with his elder brothers Alfred and Frederick. Author of several volumes of poetry including Sonnets and Fugitive Pieces (1830), Sonnets (1864), Small Tableaux (1868), and Sonnets, Lyrics and Translations (1873). Biographical information: ODNB.
