R. Armytage.Born in Hackney, London, and educated at home. Closely connected to London literary circles. President of the “Literary Ladies” group. Married twice: to George Francis Armytage on 9 September 1879, then Arthur Graham Tomson on 21 September 1886, afterwards living with H. B. Marriott Watson from 1894. Editor of Sylvia’s Journal (1893-1894). Contributor to Yellow Book, Scot’s Observer, and Athenaeum.
