Sadie(her childhood self-appellation). Date of birth 1837 or 1838. Although she was born in London, and seems to have lived there all her life, Williams had a Welsh father and identified herself as partly Welsh. Educated at Queen’s College, Harley Street, London, in early 1850s. Published poems and sketches in Good Words, Sunday Magazine, The Argosy.
