Married twice: Agnes Creyke on 7 April 1799 and Dorothy Cayley on 2 July 1801. Archdeacon of Cleveland (1820-1828) and East Riding (1828-1840). Author of several volumes of poetry including The Raising of Jaïrus’ Daughter (1804) and compositions of translations, including A Few Sonnets Attempted from Petrarch in Early Life (1817).
