Poet and short story writer. Born in Exeter. Father was an Irish army officer. Educated at home by governesses. Also known as Nora Chesson, after her marriage to the novelist and critic Wilfrid Hugh Chesson in 1901. Publications include Ballads in Prose (1894), Under the Quicken Boughs (1896), Songs of the Morning (1900). Contributed to Family Herald, New Ireland Review, The Celt.
