Blackwood’s volume 24, number 146 is dated December, part I (KF). As the discussion immediately following explains, the poem is taken from Peter Buchanan (ed.), *Ancient Ballads and Songs of the North of Scotland* , vol. 1, W. & D. Laing et. al., 1828, pp. 24-6 (AC).
